What started out as a small janitorial service, is
now recognized by global clients as a maintenance support organization with a track record of industry leadership. Aztec continues to commit itself to innovative methods of performance and productivity enhancement, quality, excellence, integrity and supporting our clients’ success.
From Start to Success Aztec was founded in 1981 by Sherra Aguirre who wanted to provide consistently excellent janitorial services for clients.
In 1988, Aztec’s management team decided to market their services to large, complex facilities whose facility managers had responsibility for the quality of their work environment and its impact
on the safety and productivity of their company’s workforce — encompassing values that were
essential to Aztec.
ISO Certification
Aztec became the first U.S. based company in our industry to achieve ISO
9002 certification in 1995 and subsequently earned ISO 9001. It is
the internationally accepted standard for a quality management system in
a service environment. Although Aztec adheres to principles,
requirements, and key elements of this system, we have introduced new
and more innovative training, planning and quality programs to drive
continuous improvement.
CIMS Certification
Aztec now has a CIMS (Cleaning Industry Management Standard Green
Building Certification) certified industry professional on our operating
team. CIMS provides improved focus on management systems and
processes used in our service delivery. Compliance
with the CIMS Standard indicates that we are structured to deliver
consistent, quality services to meet our customer's requirements.
Today, Aztec manages facility services for
corporate, industrial, healthcare and government clients in the United States,
with a particular niche in the oil and gas sector. We monitor trends in sustainability, technology, quality and productivity to deliver on our promise to remain a leader in the facility services industry.
